Website WELLS FARGO
We’ve helped people go further with their money since our founding by Henry Wells and William Fargo in 1852. With innovative solutions that evolve with the times, we continue to help our customers get ahead.
If you enjoy talking to people, love solving puzzles, and want to build a long-term career in finance, this is the sweet spot. Wells Fargo is looking for a Relationship Banker to join our team at the Sheridan Main branch. This is a highly collaborative, advisory role where you will be the go-to person for our customers, helping them manage their daily banking, navigate major life milestones, and feel confident about their financial future.
What Your Days Will Actually Look Like
Your main goal is to build genuine, lasting partnerships with the people and local businesses in our community. On any given day, you will:
- Have Real Conversations: You will sit down with customers (both through scheduled appointments and walk-ins) to learn about their lives, listen to their goals, and map out personalized strategies for their savings, credit, and borrowing needs.
- Work as a Team: You don’t have to know everything. When a customer needs specialized help with a home mortgage, business expansion, or retirement planning, you will warmly introduce them to our in-house wealth, lending, and business experts and stay involved to make sure they get taken care of.
- Simplify Modern Banking: You will help customers get comfortable with our mobile app and digital tools so they can handle their quick, everyday banking tasks whenever and wherever they want.
- Handle Everyday Requests: From opening a new checking account to resolving an unexpected fee or account issue, you will step in to make the process as easy and stress-free as possible.
- Keep Things Safe: You’ll protect our customers and the bank by keeping accurate records, using sound judgment, and making sure all transactions follow safety and compliance regulations.
A Quick Note on Licensing:
To have a chance in getting this role, you will need to get licensed (including your FINRA Series 6, 63, and State Insurance licenses). If you don’t have them yet, don’t worry. You will start in a temporary “License Pending” (LP) role, and Wells Fargo will provide you with the training, study time, and support you need to pass your exams and transition into the full SAFE position.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who is naturally curious, empathetic, and eager to learn. To be successful, you should bring:
- People Experience: At least 2+ years of customer service experience (which can come from retail, hospitality, office administration, or military service).
- Problem-Solving Skills: At least 1 year of experience helping customers resolve issues or assessing their needs to find the right solutions.
- Relationship Acumen: A track record of building trust and keeping in touch with clients over time to help them succeed.
- Great Communication: The ability to listen actively, ask great questions, and explain financial concepts in simple, everyday terms.
- If you already have your Series 6, 63, and insurance licenses, that’s a huge plus!
