Position Overview
We are seeking a versatile, compassionate, and highly motivated Registered Nurse to join our regional clinical pool. This role is designed for nurses who thrive on variety and are comfortable flexing across multiple hospital departments, including general medical, surgical, and emergency units.

Key Responsibilities
Your daily duties will vary depending on the specific needs of the facility and department, but core responsibilities include:
- Comprehensive Patient Care: Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing interventions to a diverse patient demographic across medical, surgical, and emergency settings.
- Clinical Assessment & Monitoring: Conduct detailed physical and psychological assessments, recognize subtle changes in patient conditions, and escalate care appropriately.
- Emergency Response: Provide calm, rapid, and efficient clinical intervention during critical situations and high-pressure emergency presentations.
- Care Plan Management: Formulate, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans in close collaboration with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Partner effectively with medical practitioners, allied health staff, and support teams to ensure seamless care coordination and safe patient handovers.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain precise, timely, and confidential patient records in accordance with national nursing standards and organisational policies.
- Patient Advocacy & Education: Act as a strong advocate for patient health, offering clear clinical education, guidance, and emotional support to individuals and their support systems throughout the treatment journey.
Selection Criteria & Qualifications
To be successful in this diverse role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Professional Registration: Current, unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) or relevant licensing authority.
- Clinical Depth: Minimum of 1–2 years of post-registration clinical experience, with verified exposure to multiple hospital departments such as medical wards, surgical wards, or emergency units.
- Adaptability & Resilience: Proven ability to transition smoothly between different clinical settings and adapt quickly to unfamiliar ward workflows or local protocols.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a track record of building positive relationships with patients from diverse backgrounds and working cohesively in fast-paced teams.
- Critical Thinking: Strong problem-solving capabilities and the emotional maturity required to handle complex clinical scenarios independently when required.
