AMETEK IntelliPower is searching for a high-energy Regional Sales Manager to oversee the Western United States. This role focuses on the military program, managing the sales of ruggedized power solutions such as uninterruptible power systems (UPS) and frequency converters designed for mission-critical operations in harsh environments.
The Role: Sales Leadership & Strategy
As the Regional Sales Manager, you will basically be the driving force behind market share growth in the Western U.S. You will manage key accounts and sales channels, ensuring that AMETEK’s high-performance power products reach the industries that need them most.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Growth: Develop and execute sales strategies to maximize revenue and profitability in alignment with corporate goals.
- Channel Management: Support and optimize channel partners and distributors, providing the necessary factory assistance and training to ensure their success.
- Forecasting & Reporting: Maintain a weekly opportunity funnel and provide accurate sales forecasts using CRM data.
- Technical Training: Educate local sales teams on product specifications, objection handling, and market-specific selling strategies.
- Relationship Building: Personally engage with key customers to foster long-term strategic partnerships.
- Market Intelligence: Provide feedback to Engineering and Product Marketing teams regarding market trends and customer needs to influence new product development.
Candidate Requirements
Education & Experience
- Degree: A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field is acceptable.
- Professional History: Minimum of 7 years of overall experience, with at least 3 years specifically as a Regional Sales Manager with a track record of increasing responsibility across these years.
- Travel: Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
- Compliance: Must have the legal right to work in the U.S. and be authorized to access export-controlled information and source code too.
Core Skills
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with power, testing, or instrumentation-related products is highly desired.
- Communication: Strong written and oral skills, with the ability to negotiate both technical and commercial matters effectively.
- Independence: A self-directed work ethic with the ability to solve problems and report progress against objectives.
- Software: Proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and CRM database applications.
