As a Home-Based Therapist, you will provide critical mental health and behavioral support to children, adolescents, and adults. By working within the home environment, you gain unique insights that help tailor treatment to the real-world challenges families face.
Your Core Responsibilities:
- Individual & Family Therapy: Conduct therapeutic sessions that utilize trauma-informed practices to address a variety of developmental and behavioral needs.
- Crisis Intervention: Provide immediate support and safety planning for families navigating high-stress situations.
- Case Management: Collaborate with schools, state agencies, and other healthcare providers to ensure a holistic approach to the client’s well-being.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely clinical records that reflect progress and compliance with state and organizational standards.
Who You Are
Damar is looking for a licensed or license-eligible professional who thrives on independence and meaningful connection.
- Education: A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
- Licensure: LSW, LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT (or working toward licensure) is typically required.
- Expertise: A deep understanding of developmental disabilities and experience in trauma-informed care.
- Skills: Strong organizational abilities to manage a remote caseload and the communication skills to build trust with diverse families.
