Mercor is currently hiring for a Detective Supervisor to support high-level AI research labs. This is a fully remote, contract position that leverages your professional law enforcement and investigative expertise to help train and refine next-generation machine learning systems.

Role Overview: AI Meets Investigation

In this unique role, you aren’t conducting traditional fieldwork. Instead, you are acting as a subject matter expert (SME) to help AI models understand the nuances of police supervision and detective work. You will be helping “teach” the AI how to solve problems, write reports, and supervise investigative workflows accurately.

Key Responsibilities

  •  Create high-quality content and documentation that addresses common requests and scenarios within the detective and police supervision field.
  • Evaluate and improve work developed by other experts to ensure it meets the rigorous standards required for AI research.
  • identify and resolve complex issues within your domain to help advance the accuracy of machine learning models.
  • Work autonomously to contribute your expertise to cutting-edge research while following your own flexible schedule.

Project Logistics

  • Compensation: $80–$120 per hour.
  • Type: Contract (Short-term).
  • Duration: 3–4 weeks.
  • Commitment: 30–40 hours per week.
  • Location: 100% Remote.

Candidate Requirements

Experience & Skills

  • Professional Background: At least 4+ years of professional experience as a First-Line Supervisor of Police and Detectives.
  • Communication: Exceptional written communication skills, including flawless grammar and spelling.
  • Technical Readiness: Comfortable working in a remote environment and engaging with AI/machine learning research platforms.
