We are looking for a Part-Time Nutritionist III / Registered Dietitian to join our team in a 100% remote capacity. In this role, you aren’t just giving dietary advice; you are an essential part of our disease prevention and health promotion efforts. You’ll be the bridge between clinical nutrition and public health, helping Georgians build healthier futures one meal and one habit at a time.
Nutrition-Led Public Health
In this position, you will utilize your specialized expertise to support various DPH programs, from Maternal and Child Health to Chronic Disease Prevention.
What You’ll Be Doing Every Day:
- Personalized Guidance: You’ll provide expert nutrition counseling and medical nutrition therapy to help patients manage chronic conditions and improve their overall health.
- Maternal & Child Health Support: You’ll play a key role in supporting the nutritional needs of mothers and children, ensuring they have the foundation they need to thrive.
- Program Advocacy: You’ll collaborate with health districts across Georgia to implement nutrition initiatives and promote healthy lifestyles within local communities.
- Data-Driven Care: You’ll conduct nutritional assessments and develop tailored care plans, using your clinical judgment to address specific health risks and disparities.
- Remote Collaboration: You’ll stay connected with our network of 18 public health districts, providing specialized support and consultation to local health departments via our digital platforms.
We are looking for a licensed professional who is passionate about public health and comfortable working in a structured, remote environment.
The Essentials:
- Professional Credentials: You are a Registered Dietitian (RD) with the Commission on Dietetic Registration and hold a valid license to practice in the state of Georgia.
- Clinical Expertise: You have a deep understanding of medical nutrition therapy and the unique nutritional challenges facing diverse populations.
- Communication Skills: You can translate complex nutritional science into simple, actionable steps for patients and community members alike.
