Rimini Street, Inc. (Nasdaq: RMNI) is seeking a Principal-level Forward Deployed Engineer (Agentic AI).
Rimini Street is a global leader in third-party enterprise software support for major platforms such as SAP, Oracle, and VMware. In this role, you will report to the VP of Innovation & Solution Delivery and embed directly with Fortune 500 and Global 2000 corporate clients. Your core mission is to design, build, and deploy production-grade, autonomous AI agents that safely integrate with enterprise systems of record without breaking corporate compliance.
The role is 100% remote from Singapore, with an expected 25% travel to meet with clients.
What You Will Do
- Embed with Enterprise Clients: Lead technical discovery to translate complex business problems into engineering deliverables with measurable metrics (e.g., support deflection, cycle-time reduction).
- Build & Deploy Agentic Systems: Write production-ready code inside the client’s source control and CI/CD pipelines. You will design target architectures for platforms such as AWS Bedrock, Azure AI, Google Vertex AI, and ServiceNow.
- Engineer Safe Tool Execution: Build strict guardrails, prompt architectures, and human-in-the-loop controls. You will implement enterprise-safe agent tools using interfaces such as the Model Context Protocol (MCP), ensuring that every action has scoped permissions, approval gates, and clear audit trails.
- Own the Lifecycle & Handover: Manage the entire deployment through cutover and early production cycles. You will draft runbooks, conduct knowledge transfers to support teams, and step back in as an escalation point for deep architectural failures.
- Abstract Reference Patterns: Package custom solutions from the field into reusable code patterns and accelerators to help guide the internal product roadmap.
What You Need to Know
This is a high-level, heavy-execution engineering role requiring a background in both core enterprise infrastructure and modern applied AI. You will need:
- Baseline Engineering Depth: 8+ years of professional software engineering experience in production systems (purely advisory or theoretical consulting time does not count).
- AI Implementation Track Record: 2+ years of hands-on experience shipping AI or machine learning models to production, with a clear focus on agentic frameworks and large language models (LLMs).
- Core Technical Stack: Mastery of production Python along with at least one strongly typed enterprise language (TypeScript, Java, Go, C#, or Scala). You also need enough UI fluency (React or Angular) to build or expand front-end user layers.
- Enterprise Architecture Familiarity: Practical experience navigating massive ERP systems and systems of record- specifically SAP, Oracle E-Business Suite, JD Edwards, ServiceNow, or Workday.
- Data & System Mastery: Complete fluency in SQL and data modeling, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines (chunking, vector stores, reranking), evaluation suite design (hallucination and drift instrumentation), and identity protocols (OIDC, SAML).
