We are Vitru a company, a company that belives in the transforming power of education in peoples live

Vitru Educação, one of the largest digital education holdings in Brazil, which operates major academic brands like UniCesumar, UNIASSELVI, and Rede ENEM, has opened an application cycle for a Lead Professor (Professor Regente) in Graphic, Digital, and/or Product Design.

If you have a solid background in design and want to scale your industry experience into academic impact, this role allows you to reach a massive student base of over 1 million learners across Brazil through distance learning (EAD) and hybrid education models.

What Does a Lead Professor Do at Vitru?

Unlike a traditional, on-campus classroom teacher, a Lead Professor (Professor Regente) in a digital model serves as the academic and methodological core of the course. Your main responsibilities will center on:

  • Curriculum & Content Leadership: Ensuring the academic quality, relevance, and updates of the Graphic, Digital, or Product Design coursework.
  • Pedagogical Coordination: Guiding, alignment, and managing the tutors and assistant teachers who provide direct, day-to-day support to the students.
  • Designing Learning Experiences: Actively participating in creating practical exercises, assessments, and methodologies that make learning design engaging, intuitive, and highly digital.

The Ideal Candidate Profile

While the initial posting outlines the company’s cultural manifesto, Lead Professor roles in major educational institutions generally look for a specific trifecta of skills:

  1. Academic Credentials

A Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Product Design, Industrial Design, Digital Design, or a closely related field. For leadership and regency tracks, holding postgraduate credentials (such as a Master’s or Ph.D.) is highly valued due to national educational regulations.

  1. Practical Market Background

Because Vitru’s core mission is to prepare students to build their own professional futures, hands-on experience with modern design tools (such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, UX/UI frameworks, design thinking, or physical product development prototypes) is crucial for bringing real-world context to the digital classroom.

  1. EdTech Tech-Fluency

Vitru positions itself as a tech-forward educational ecosystem. Comfort with learning management systems (LMS), video lecture recording, live streaming, and remote collaboration tools is mandatory.
