Wells Fargo is seeking an Associate Personal Banker (SAFE) to join its National Branch Network team at the West End location.

This frontline role is designed for a relationship-driven professional who can balance everyday customer service with proactive branch growth. You will serve as a key point of contact for clients, managing everything from basic teller transactions and account openings to credit applications and digital tools education, while maintaining strict adherence to regulatory compliance.

  • Core Focus: Customer relationship building, needs-based financial matching, and basic branch operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Relationship Building & Needs Discovery: Lead deep, discovery-driven conversations with clients to understand their long-term financial goals and match them with appropriate products, services, or lending solutions.
  • Everyday Banking Support: Manage end-to-end service requests, facilitate new checking/savings account openings, and process consumer credit applications.
  • Frontline Operations & Cash Handling: Step onto the teller line as needed to accurately handle cash, process everyday transactions, and maintain the branch’s operational compliance standards.
  • Proactive Outreach: Initiate outbound phone calls and digital follow-ups to existing and prospective clients to check in on their financial health and introduce fresh branch solutions.
  • Teammate Collaboration: Smoothly coordinate client handoffs to licensed bankers, mortgage specialists, or wealth management partners when advanced financial expertise is required.

Candidate Requirements

  • Experience: 6+ months of customer-facing interaction experience (demonstrated through standard corporate employment, specialized training, military service, or higher education).

Important Skills & Core Traits

  • Regulated Environment Background: Prior experience in financial services or a highly regulated retail environment where accuracy, structured policy compliance, and data security are strict daily expectations.
  • Digital Advocacy: High comfort level adopting new technology and platforms, with a natural ability to guide traditional clients through mobile and online banking capabilities.
  • Risk Management Mindset: A strong track record of following internal policies and financial regulations, with a sharp eye for identifying and escalating potential risk or fraud concerns.
  • Inbound/Outbound Comfort: Confidence in executing warm client outreach via phone or email to nurture ongoing relationships and drive branch engagement.

The SAFE Act Expectation

Because this position requires registering as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO), your employment will be contingent upon successfully passing a background check and meeting all registration requirements under the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act (SAFE Act).
